This Privacy Policy explains how Sprite Sheet Maker ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit spritesheetmaker.net or use our services.

The Short Version

• Images added to the main Sprite Sheet Maker workspace are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers by that tool.
• The generated sprite sheet is created and downloaded on your device.
• We may receive ordinary website request data and information you intentionally submit through an account, support request, or another feature that clearly requires server processing.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Images and Local Processing

The main Sprite Sheet Maker accepts PNG, JPG, and WebP frames. Those files are loaded into your browser using temporary local object URLs and are combined with the browser's Canvas API. The workspace does not send those source images or the generated sprite sheet to our servers.

Your selected images and workspace settings are not saved by the main tool after you close or refresh the page. Exported PNG files are downloaded directly by your browser.

This local-processing statement applies to the main sprite sheet workspace. If a separate feature asks you to upload an image, attach a file to a support request, or submit content for server-side or third-party processing, that feature will necessarily transmit the content you choose to submit.

Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use the site and which optional features are enabled, we may process:

1. Technical and request data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, language, and diagnostic or security logs.
2. Preferences stored on your device — language, theme, interface state, and similar settings saved in cookies or local storage.
3. Account information — name, email address, authentication records, and account settings if you create or use an account.
4. Support information — your email address, message, attachments, and any other details you choose to provide when requesting help.
5. Transaction information — order, subscription, and payment status if paid features are offered and you choose to purchase them. Payment providers process payment credentials; we do not store complete card numbers.
6. Optional feature content — files, prompts, or other inputs you deliberately submit to a feature that states it uses server-side storage or a third-party provider.

Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, private keys, or other sensitive information through support messages.

How We Use Information

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

• deliver, maintain, and secure the site;
• remember your settings and keep you signed in;
• operate accounts and features you request;
• diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve performance;
• respond to support, privacy, security, and legal inquiries;
• process purchases and maintain transaction records when paid features are used; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent, depending on the activity. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the applicable basis.

Cookies, Local Storage, and Optional Integrations

We use essential browser storage for functions such as sessions, language selection, theme, and interface preferences. You can remove this data through your browser, although some features may stop working or forget your settings.

The site supports optional integrations that an administrator may enable, including analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or Plausible), advertising (Google AdSense), customer support chat (Crisp or Tawk.to), sign-in providers (such as Google or GitHub), storage providers, and payment processors. An enabled provider may receive technical identifiers, cookies, account details, transaction details, or content needed to provide its service. Its own privacy terms also apply. Not every supported integration is necessarily enabled.

When We Share Information

We may disclose information:

• to hosting, database, email, analytics, authentication, storage, customer-support, and payment providers that help operate requested features;
• when you direct us to use a third-party integration;
• when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, enforce our terms, or protect our rights; or
• when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share the local source images used in the main Sprite Sheet Maker workspace because that tool does not receive them.

Retention

Locally processed workspace images are not retained by us. Other information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing an account or requested feature, resolving support requests, maintaining security logs, meeting tax or accounting requirements, handling disputes, and complying with law. Retention periods vary by data type and provider. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer required, subject to legitimate backup and legal-retention needs.

International Processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers. You may contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your information.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No internet service, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
