These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of spritesheetmaker.net and the tools and services provided by Sprite Sheet Maker. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

Sprite Sheet Maker provides browser-based tools for arranging image frames, previewing a sprite sheet, and exporting a PNG for use in games, animation, prototypes, and other creative work. We may add, change, or remove tools and features over time.

The main sprite sheet workspace processes selected images locally in your browser. It does not upload those images to us. Separate features may require an account, a server upload, third-party processing, or payment; any such requirement will be presented as part of that feature.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

An account is not required for the main local sprite sheet tool. If you use an account-based feature, you must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable care.

Your Images and Output

You retain ownership of the images and other content you provide and of the sprite sheets you create, subject to any rights belonging to others in the source material. You are responsible for confirming that you have the rights and permissions needed to use, modify, and export your source images.

Because the main workspace handles images locally, you do not grant us a license to those local source images merely by using the tool. If you intentionally submit content to a server-based feature, you grant us and our service providers a limited license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support that feature.

You are responsible for reviewing exported files before using them in a game, application, production pipeline, or publication. Settings such as dimensions, grid, spacing, padding, transparency, and frame order may affect compatibility with other software.

Acceptable Use

You may not use the service to:

• violate applicable law or the rights of another person;
• process or distribute content that you do not have the right to use;
• upload malware or attempt to introduce harmful code;
• probe, bypass, or interfere with security, access controls, rate limits, or service operation;
• gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
• automate abusive traffic or place an unreasonable load on the service;
• misrepresent affiliation with us or use the service for fraud; or
• help another person perform any prohibited activity.

We may limit or block activity that creates security, legal, or operational risk.

Optional Third-Party Services

Some features may rely on third parties for authentication, analytics, advertising, customer support, storage, payments, or other processing. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or content that we do not control.

Paid Features

The main sprite sheet maker may be used without payment unless the site clearly states otherwise. If we offer an optional paid feature, its price, billing period, included usage, and any additional purchase terms will be shown before you complete the purchase. Taxes and currency conversion charges may apply. Payment details are processed by the displayed payment provider.

Our Content and Software

The service's software, interface, branding, documentation, and original site content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of our software or brand to you.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the service itself, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits that activity.

Service Changes and Availability

We aim to keep the service useful and available, but it may be interrupted, delayed, changed, or discontinued. Browser limits, device resources, source-file dimensions, and third-party services can affect tool behavior. We may apply reasonable technical limits to protect performance and security.

We may update the service automatically and may suspend access when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or misuse prevention.

No Professional Advice

The service provides image-production utilities and general informational content. It does not provide legal, licensing, game-engine, security, or other professional advice. You are responsible for deciding whether the service and its output are suitable for your intended use.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every file, browser, engine, or workflow. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sprite Sheet Maker and its operators, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the service.

Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the feature giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event or USD $100. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to an account or server-based feature if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or harm, or if suspension is reasonably required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related provisions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law, or our operations. We will post the revised Terms here and update the date above. If a change materially affects account-based or paid features, we will provide additional notice when appropriate. Continuing to use the service after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
